Mercy College, Palakkad, is a women’s college, established in 1964. This is a Government-aided college, affiliated to the University of Calicut. The Institution is administered by the Jai Christo CMC, Educational Agency. The College has completed 50 years of imparting quality, value-based education to young women. The College stands for the upliftment and empowerment of women. The College offers certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in art, commerce and science.
Location: Mercy College, Palakkad is located at Pallippuram, Palakkad, Kerala. The nearest railway junction to the College is Palakkad Junction, which is about 5 km away from the College and Palakkad Bus Terminal is 11 km away from the College. The Cochin International Airport is about 107 km from the College. Palakkad Junction is very well connected to the various cities of the country and all the major trains reach this platform.

Camera Club: The Camera Club promotes interest in photography as an art form, which is accessible to all. The club welcomes student members to enjoy photography at all experience levels, amateur and professional.
Nature Club: The Nature Club of Mercy College, Palakkad is committed to inspiring students to think differently about the environment and encourage them to be eco–friendly.
SHRISHTI : This is the Fine Arts Association initiative, which offers a stage for showcasing the creative potential of the student community. The association coordinates the conduct of various institution-level competitions in the literary and performing arts.
Media Centre: Music and Media Centre provides a professional audio education environment. This forum gives media education and media awareness to all.
Tourism Club: A Tourism Club is sponsored by the District Tourism Promotion Council of Palakkad. The club promotes domestic tourism and to make the young people aware of tourism as a means of sustainable development.
Cine Forum: Cine Forum of Mercy College is established to create among students an appreciation for good films from around the world. The forum organises the screening of famous movies, talks by eminent speakers associated with films, workshops on the art of film making, promos of new films, short-film contests, etc.
Campus Green: A Campus Green Project is undertaken by both Dept. of Chemistry and Dept. of Botany. This project is involved in the production of herbal pharmaceuticals from essential oils of medicinal plants and horticultural training to students. The project also conducts awareness programs on ‘Conservation of Biodiversity’
ED Club: Entrepreneurship Development Club is formed to inculcate entrepreneurial culture among students. The club equips students with the skills, techniques and confidence to act as torch-bearers of the enterprise.
Souhrudam Club: This club of Mercy College offers basic education, promotes soft skills, cultural orientation through folk songs, games, proverbs, stories, drawing.
IT Club: The Information Technology (IT) Club of the Mercy College provides students with opportunities to discuss various IT related topics in order to create a greater understanding of the technology.
Walk with a Scholar: Walk With a Scholar programme envisage to provide necessary orientation, guidance and motivation to the promising students and enrich and nourish their talents for higher studies and better employment.
Additional Skill Acquisition Programme(ASAP): ASAP is a part of the State Skill Development Project, which was initiated to address the concern of the growing educated-unemployment rates of the State. ASAP is a project under the General and Higher Education Departments of Kerala. ASAP trains Higher Secondary and Graduate students and offer skill courses to students in need of immediate employment.
Scholar Support Programme: The Scholar Support Programme of the Mercy College aims at imparting personalised academic support to needy students through tutorials, study materials, additional lectures, question banks and interactive sessions. It also disseminates the classes through personal and web-based modes.
National Service Scheme: The NSS units of the college organise the various programmes, which inculcate the feelings of empathy and self-extension among students. The units also promote the values of communal harmony, patriotism and national integration among students.
NCC: NCC Cadet Crop of the college organises and trains youth and provides leadership in all walks of life including the Armed and Navy forces. It also creates a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.
Career counselling cell: The cell facilitates academic, emotional, social and cognitive development of the student and empowers them in their learning and personal development.
Entrepreneurship and Development Cell: The objective of the cell is to provide various information with reference to starting a business to budding student entrepreneurs and to create entrepreneurial culture among students. It fosters better linkages between industries and R and D activities of the college and promotes innovation through the establishment of incubation centre. The cell regularly organizes camps, seminars, workshops, industrial visits and other developmental programmes.
Alumni Association: Alumni association meets once in a year. Alumni who are working in the companies regularly inform the college about the requirements of the companies.
Grievance Redressal Mechanism: The grievance redressal cell of the Mercy College addresses any grievances raised by students related to general administration, examination/evaluation and any other problems related to day to day functioning.
Women Development Cell (WDC): WDC of the Mercy College provides and maintain a dignified congenial working environment for women employees, this includes teaching, non-teaching, and contractual workers and students where they can work, study and explore their potential to the fullest.
Yoga club: Mercy College has a Yoga club, which promotes healthy living through various activities.
