MES Arts and Commerce College is a well-known institution in the present day Mehkar and was started in the year 1961. This affiliated college has been providing quality education to its students for more than six decades and provides undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes in the faculties of Arts and Commerce. The college is NAAC accredited and this show the college’s capacity to ensure that it maintain the desired standards in its education programmes. MES Arts and Commerce College has 445 students and 11 faculty members, which helps in directing the core attention. The institute provides five course in four degrees of study with focus on Economic, History, Commerce and Commerce. 

MES Arts and Commerce College has a variety of facilities that give a college an added advantage in the provision of facilities for students and academics. The college facility accommodates 30, 000 books for learning and research and also has magazines, weekly periodicals, and publications. College students can access the reading room during college time and even at the evening time in accordance with research and study. There are sports facilities for the use by college students and other sporting persons, an auditorium for events and seminars. The institution also has a well-equipped laboratory for practicals with good IT equipment for computer practicals. The college has registered a total intake of 445 in all its programmes as it is at the moment. It gives three years under graduate courses (B.A. and B.Com.) and two years postgraduate courses (M.Com., M.A. History, & M.A. Economics). All postgraduate courses are offered in full-time mode, thus guaranteeing the students’ receiving full training in their respective fields of specialisation.
