MES Arts and Commerce College is a well-known institution in the present day Mehkar started in the year 1961. This affiliated college has been providing quality education to its students for more than six decades and provides undergraduate as well as postgraduate programs in the faculties of arts and commerce. The college is NAAC accredited and this show the college’s capacity to ensure that it maintain the desired standards in its education programs. MES Arts and Commerce College has 445 students and 11 faculty members, which helps in directing the core attention. The institute provides five course in four degrees of study with focus on Economic, History, Commerce and Commerce.

The college facility accommodates 30, 000 books for learning and research and also has magazines, weekly periodicals, and publications. College students can access the reading room during college time and even at the evening time in accordance with research and study. Within the academic year 2022, the college attracted 367 students, 243 undergoing undergraduate courses and 124 being in postgraduate programmes. It gives three years under graduate courses (B.A. and B.Com.) and two years postgraduate courses (M.Com., M.A. History, & M.A. Economics). All postgraduate courses are offered in full-time mode, thus guaranteeing the students’ receiving full training in their respective fields of specialisation. 

MES Arts and Commerce College targets an open gate admission policy for all students and embraces meritocracy.
