MES College for Advanced Studies, Aluva, follows a rigorous admission process for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in which deserving candidates are admitted according to merit. The college runs under the Mahatma Gandhi University and offers programs in such subjects as Business Administration, Commerce, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, and English Literature. For the intake process, MES College is governed by the admission guidelines of Mahatma Gandhi University. The academic year starts almost regularly every August-September and admissions commence a few months beforehand. In most of the other courses, 50 percent of the total seats are filled by the management from among candidates of their own choice, provided that they qualify to do so. 5. Merit-based Selection: The college adopts a merit-based selection system. For seats under the management quota, selection is made on the basis of merit concerning the First Come First Served policy.

6. University Allotment: For the remaining seats to be filled through Mahatma Gandhi University, candidates are to participate in the online allotment process as conducted by the University.

Admissions Process as per degrees

B.Com Programs (Computer Applications, Finance and Taxation Hons): MES College offers two B.Com programs, one in Computer Applications and the other in Finance and Taxation (Hons). Admission is based on the student's performance in the qualifying examination (10+2). Each program has a sanctioned intake of 40 students.

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): Similar to B.Com, admission for the BBA program is based on academic performance at the 12th level, with a sanctioned intake of 40 students.

B.Sc Programs (Bioinformatics Hons, Microbiology Hons): For B.Sc courses, the college offers specializations in Bioinformatics (Hons) and Microbiology (Hons). The admission process considers the candidate's performance in science subjects at the 10+2 level. The B.Sc Bioinformatics program has an approved intake of 30 students.

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): The BCA general admission procedure of the college is governed. Candidates will be selected based on their level of performance in 10+2 results, emphasizing mathematics and computer science.

M.Com Programs (E-commerce, Finance and Taxation): Applicants for M.Com programs must be holding a B.Com or equivalent degree. The approved intake for M.Com E-commerce is 30 students.

M.Sc Programs (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Computer Science): Admission into M.Sc. programs requires a relevant bachelor's degree in science. The number of approved intakes varies: 20 for Biotechnology, 20 for Microbiology and 12 for Computer Science.

MA English: Candidates with a bachelor's degree in English or related subjects are eligible. The approved intake for the above program is 12 students.
