MET College of Education, Kanyakumari: Admission 2025, Courses, Fees, Cutoff, Placements, Ranking

MET was established in 2006 at Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, and it is an affiliated college named MET College of Education. This is a co-educational institution and is also recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, which maintains the standard of teacher education. The college teaches two disciplines in education courses, as shown below. The student enrolment for the two courses is 68 in total. Located at Mogals Garden, Poigai Dam Road, Chenbagaramanputhur, the institute fosters a proper ambiance for emerging educators.

The college has equipped these centres with facilities that are essential for students learning and personal development. It contains over 7,000 books of various dimensions of education and liberally accesses 25 educational serials and familiarisation magazines and periodicals. The fully automated library system helps make reading material more easily accessible to the students. On the aspect of physical resources, then there are twenty computers, six printers, and fifty-nine audio visual apparatus, including overhead projectors, interactive boards, and digital cameras. To ensure that the health of students is well taken care of, the college provides for sports and a gym. 

MET College of Education offers two full-time courses: a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) programme. The B.Ed. programme has an approved capacity of 100 students and 50 students for the M.Ed. programme. The learning format of both courses is such that they can be studied over two years. These programmes are designed in a way that aspiring teachers out in the market receive training for effective teaching technologies and educational ideals.

MET College of Education offers admission to all its programmes on the basis of the performance in the qualifying examination and/or MET admission test. For the B.Ed. programme, the admissions are granted in accordance with the policy fixed by the state government/UT administration and the university.
