Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) and offered by the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have passed the BA/B.Sc. Degree examination under the 10+2+3 pattern from the University of Kerala or any other University recognized by the University of Kerala. or 
  • Double or Triple main candidates or candidates who passed the Degree Examination in Vocational or Specialized Courses are also eligible for admission. or
  • The minimum requirement of marks for admission to B.Ed. courses are 50% for Part III/50% in aggregate (Part I+II+III together) in Bachelor's Degree (Science/Arts subjects) or 50% marks in Post Graduation in the concerned subject.

Admission Details

50% of the seats in each optional subject are filled by the Govt. on a merit basis and the rest by management and that too on a merit basis from among the applicants for the management quota.
