Mewar Polytechnic College of Chittorgarh was established in 2009, and is one of the constituent colleges in Rajasthan, India. Delhi college of engineering, situated in gangrar, chittorgarh at national highway NH-79 aims at providing technical education. Lying under the ambitious of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Mewar Polytechnic College has available number of diploma courses in engineering fields. The institute is young as compared to other technical institutes which may be an excuse for less course offering but what is significant is that the institute has been expanding its course and infrastructure to fulfill the technical education demands.

It important to note that the college has an array of core services that seek to improve the learning abilities of its students. A well equipped and well illuminated library is knowledge center successfully air-conditioned library has total 50000 books and it also consists and cassettes/VCDs. At present, Mewar Polytechnic College has five full-time diploma courses, each of which takes four semesters on an average. Some of these programs are diploma in mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mining Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. In all programmes, each course has an approved intake capacity of 60 students translating to 300 seats for all programmes offered. The structure of admission of the students in Mewar Polytechnic College is very simple and easy to follow.
