MG College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram was inaugurated in 2004 as an affiliated college in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India. It has the recognition and approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and focuses on providing quality education in engineering streams. The college is located at Thiruvallam at Vandithadom and delivers several undergraduate and diploma courses. MG College of Engineering has a vision to attain excellence and create an environment to foster a technically sound generation through its 33 faculty members. At present, the institute provides 9 courses for 2 degree levels and operates in engineering and hotel management disciplines.

Among the options, the college offers the following facilities for students’ successful studying and personal cultivating. It is a core facility of the institute, possessing a collection of more than 10,730 books on engineering branches, management, and other diversified fields. This library has 4,235 titles, most of which are national and international journals, making it a one-stop source of information for students as well as the faculty. The college has recently changed direction and has embarked on a process that will see the library moved to a new block that has been built to cater for it. Altogether, the IT standard of the institution is great: there are three equipped computer labs for up to 60 students. These labs are connected fully with networks and available internet browsing speed that is suitable to meet the academic needs of the students and for the project work.

The courses offered by MG College of Engineering comprise both undergraduate and diploma courses. Live in full time of engineering education, there are 3 B.Tech programmes and 6 diploma courses offered by the institute. The B.Tech Affiliates offer Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering. Diploma courses include subjects like artificial intelligence and machine learning, civil engineering, computer science engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, hotel management and catering technology, and mechanical engineering. All of these courses have been developed to reflect the appropriate standards for the relevant industries to ensure the students successfully complete their studies in our institution to build a good career.

For B.Tech programmes, the college accepts scores obtained in the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) examination.
