MHES College of Science Technology, Kozhikode: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

MHES College of Science & Technology Kozhikode, started in 2003 is an affiliated college situated at Thodannur, Kozhikode District, Kerala. Located on a sixty- acre piece of land, this institution has earned its status as a centre for learning in the area of science and technology. MHES college has 1207 students in total and 47 faculty members, spread over six degree programmes, offering eleven courses. It offers programmes in different disciplines such as Microbiology, Physics, Computer Science and Commerce, English at both the undergraduate and post graduate levels for its students.

MHES College of Science & Technology has acquired facilities that facilitate the delivery of education to the students in addition to other faculty amenities. This is where every academic resource starts, having a proper educational library with, first of all, a rich collection of necessary references that can help in researching and studying. For those interested in technology, the college has the best and highly developed IT facilities such as a modern built computer science Lab with new technology. Science lovers get facilities that include functional laboratories, and especially the Microbiology Lab which boasts of modern day equipment. Health is also given importance and the college offers, sports facilities for all students on the compound. In order to meet the needs of the MHES College population, it has adopted a cafeteria style diet service, a health care, first aid facility, and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 and full audio visual aids. It also provide transport facilities for its students and staff by having six buses to help transport its human resources.

MHES College of Science & Technology provides its students with every possible course it can and nine areas of undergraduate programmes and two of the postgraduate level, in total 11 programmes. The undergraduate programmes include BSc in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Computer Science and Physics; B.Com Computer Applications, Finance and Cooperation; BBA Finance; and BA English. At postgraduate level the college offers M.Sc in Physics and Master in Commerce in Finance. All these are full courses conducted full-time, aimed at imparting detailed understanding and practical experience in the corresponding field. The overall approval intake capacity of all courses offered is 1,207; however, there are no detailed distribution of seats for every programme offered enrolled.

This is so because admission process of the MHES College of Science & Technology is bound to be simple. Some of the details about the admission procedure have not been elaborated and most of the affiliated Colleges tend to adhere to the rules of the parent university. The college maintains an active alumni association thus the college is able to nurture of an active academic fraternity, past and present.
