Milkha Singh Educational Institute which was established in 2005 is affiliated college situated in Bareta Mansa district of Punjab. This co-educational institution accredited by the NCTE offers teacher education programs only.The institution is a co-educational one and offers teacher education programs only.The college got its approval from the NCTE only for offering the teacher education programs.The current college is co-educational and is approved by the NCTE to offer only the teacher education programs. The institute occupies a small area of 2.93 acres of land and undertakes three full time courses for which the total admitted students strength is 683. The college is zealous about offering quality education in B.Ed, M.Ed, D.El.Ed & other programs for the students who aim to become teachers at different levels.

Having different infrastructural units, the institute has a variety of amenities which aims at improving the learning environment of learners. A well-equipped library for example has text books, references, magazines and newspapers enriched for scholarly purposes. There are spacious playgrounds for different indoor and outdoor games which can encourage students on matters of personal and group health. The ICT Resource Centre has update technological equipment and Appropriate teaching-learning aids such as, audio-visual systems. Students can also be provided with a modern canteen, that allows them to eat very healthy meals at genuine rates. The group discussion and lecture facilities include a multi-purpose seminar hall useful for any general purposes, group discussions, lectures, special occasions, etc.; A set of well equipped laboratory to enable students demonstrate their projects in physics chemistry and biology areas. A digital language laboratory also assists a student to learn a foreign language and common areas such as pronunciation. This facility also has basic medical services through a health center as well as first aid services and houses a gym for students physical health.

Currently, Milkha Singh Educational Institute has three course in this field which are full-time courses. Holders of these certificates include; Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Master of Education (M.Ed), and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The total approved intake for all courses are 300 and the distribution is 200 for B.Ed, 50 for M.Ed and 50 for D.El.Ed. These courses adequately prepare students, who have dreams of teaching at various standards in the education system.

As for the admission procedure of Milkha Singh Educational Institute, it differs with the program of study. For the B.ed program, admission is conducted by considering the score of a Joint Entrance Test.
