The Minerva Educational Institutions, Prathipadu was started in the year 1998 as an affiliated college in Kakinada District, Andhra Pradesh. The campus is located along NH16 and is spread over 1.65 acres in Minerva Nagar. This institution has been recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education and offers multiple courses on different disciplines. .

Coming on to facilities within the institute itself, it possesses a number of facilities which would enhance the student experience and help in their academic pursuits. A well-stocked library houses an extensive collection of reference books, text books, professional journals, newspapers, and literature on religion, philosophy and ancient texts. The campus has most modern laboratories for each department, equipped with advanced facilities comparable to the premier institutions. Minerva Educational Institutions offers a total of 9 courses across various disciplines: full-time undergraduate programmes in arts, science, and commerce, professional courses in education. The institute offers B.Sc. courses in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science; Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology; and Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Students who wish to combine arts in computers can opt for BA Computers. Commerce students can take either B.Com or B.Com Computers. The institute also offers a Bachelor of Computer Applications for lovers of computer science. 

Admission is based on different modes for different programs in Minerva Educational Institutions. The admission to B.Ed. is done based on merit, which is computed on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The procedure for selection has been designed as per the policies enunciated by the State Government/UT Administration and the affiliating University. For D.El.Ed., admissions are also made based on merit by taking marks from the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as per the policy of the state government.
