Mirza Ghalib Teacher's Training College, Patna, Bihar, was established in the year 2007. It is among the foremost academic institutes situated in Patna. The co-educational institute, spreading over 2.73 acres, has the vision to develop prospective teachers. MGTTC is an affiliated college duly accredited by NAAC and approved by NCTE. With a faculty strength of 24 members, it offers three special courses in teacher education to address various levels in the system of education.

The facilities provided in the college will be an added advantage in the learning process of the students. Right at the centre of MGTTC is situated a well-equipped library with a vast collection of textbooks, journals, and educational encyclopedias. This is considered an integral part of the curriculum by the institution itself, and students are encouraged to use it to the maximum. At the same time, the college also has state-of-the-art laboratories in all subjects, updated from time to time to meet the norms and standards prescribed by NCTE. To facilitate the students, MGTT College offers a canteen, sports, and a gym. Its commitment to modern education is proved through its excellent infrastructure in IT, which ensures that students remain abreast of the contemporary technologies in teaching.

MGTTC offers three full-time courses in teacher education: Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, and Diploma in Elementary Education. While B.Ed. is the base of the college, with an intake of 100 seats, M.Ed. admits 50 students. 

Admission is granted on a merit-based basis for marks attained in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests at MGTTC. The admission to the B.Ed. shall be made based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other selection process as per State Government/ University policies. Admission into the M.Ed. program shall be based on the previous academic record and entrance examination. Also, admission to the course D.El.Ed. will follow a merit-based method, based on the guidelines framed by the state government or UT administration.
