MIT College of Engineering and Management, Hamirpur, with the help of the government, was founded in the year 2009 and is situated in Bani Barsar, Himachal Pradesh. This is a co-education institute and an affiliated college recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). As an institute emphasising engineering education, MIT Hamirpur has provided several B.Tech courses in the several streams. The college has a strength of 148 and 94 members on faculty which is beneficial in terms of the ratio of students for each teacher. The institute creates a favourable environment for overall personality development.

MIT College of Engineering has all the necessary physical infrastructure facilities as well as other infrastructural facilities necessary for academic needs of the students. The college has a library which operates as an information centre for students and other users, stocked with books journals and other informational media. Contemporary laboratories for each department are in place so as to facilitate practical sessions through which the students can practically apply all they learn. The total number of students enroled in the college every year for different courses amounts to 148 and the largest class size that the college adopts in every course is also convenient for learning. The B.Tech programmes are of four years duration and allow the students to have a thorough knowledge of the area of engineering their want to specialise in. The courses are B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, and so on.
