MIT College of Food Technology, Pune (MITCFT Pune) is a recognised institution which was sponsored in 2006 with the main aim of providing education in food technology. This constituent college is in Loni Kalbhor; Maharashtra and it is accredited by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) which Checks and elevates the standard of education given in the course. MITCFT Pune has a variety of programmes namely B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D Food Technology to meet the prospective students at different levels of learning. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech Food Technology: The admission to the B.Tech program is through JEE Main or MHT CET. The college offers 120 seats for this program. Candidates who qualify in these entrance exams are eligible to apply. Counseling rounds may be conducted for selection, where candidates are allotted seats based on their rank and preferences.
M.Tech Food Technology: For M.Tech admissions, MITCFT Pune considers GATE scores. The total fee for the program is Rs 321,400. candidates with valid GATE scores in relevant engineering disciplines can apply. Additional rounds of interviews or academic record evaluation may be involved in the selection process.
M.Tech Food Safety and Quality Management This specialized M.Tech program provides 12 seats. Admission into this program follows the same rules as that for M.Tech Food Technology and has GATE score as the principal criterion for selecting candidates.
Ph.D. Food Technology: The MITCFT Pune provides a 10 seats doctoral program. Admission to PhD also involves a more intensive evaluation. Master's degree holders from food technology or similar fields can apply. It might include entrance tests, interviews, and research proposal evaluation. The total fee of the PhD course is Rs 660,000.
