MIT WPU Faculty of Social Innovation, Partnership and Co–Creation Pune is a constituent college of MIT-World Peace University which focuses on Social Innovation and Sustainability. Based in one of the most liveli FSMs in India – Pune, this institution is committed to offering innovative, professional courses that seek to solve societal issues. Though the detail about the establishment of the faculty is not available but it has found its unique place among the social science and public health education institutions. Currently the institute is staffed with 10 faculty members and currently offers three distinct degree programmes, all of which foster completely individualised educational experience for the students. MIT WPU Faculty of Social Innovation, Partnership and Co-Creation teach three full time courses in which the future leaders of social innovation and sustainable development are groomed. The programmes offered at the institute are the undergraduate programme, and two master’s programmes, thus addressing the needs of students at both levels of study. This totals an approved intake of 120 students for the courses with available data, which shows that the intake for the courses is much lower than the total intake per year and as such classes are as expected smaller and therefore more personalised. Though level details on cumulative intake of persons graduating from the institute are not given, A commitment to training of proficient professionals in social sciences and public health is seen from the offered courses.
