About Mizoram Polytechnic, Lunglei
Mizoram Polytechnic Lunglei which was set up in 1981 by Government of Mizoram is one of the premier Institute of technical education situated in Mizoram. This college is recognised by All India Council for Technical Education and provides quality education to all the students in different disciplines of engineering. Located on a vast area of land of about 13 acres, the institute admitted 200 students, 20 members of staff. Mizoram Polytechnic Lunglei offers four different diploma courses.
Mizoram Polytechnic Diploma courses are provided in the streams like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. The courses are offered in a duration of 3 years. Admission to the courses at Mizoram Polytechnic is based on the past academic performance. Mizoram Polytechnic is affiliated to Mizoram State Council for Technical Education (MSCTE). It is administered by the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education and is funded by the State Government.
Mizoram Polytechnic is equipped with a host of books of nearly 13,000 and national and international journals makes it a useful center for learning. Regarding teaching and skill practices, the college has numerous departmental laboratories where students can practice normally the theoretical paradigms offered. The campus also has well equipped state of the art IT equipment to ensure students are in touch with modern technology. Mizoram Polytechnic Diploma Admissions 2026

Mizoram Polytechnic Diploma Admission Process
Eligible candidates can apply for the Mizoram Polytechnic diploma programmes.
Applicants for Diploma courses should not be more than 25 years of age as on the first July of the year of admission relaxable by 1 year for candidates who have passed HSSLC (12 +) or equivalent Examination and 3 (three) years for candidates belonging to SC/ST.
Candidates having minimum qualification for Diploma programme have to go through Written Examination conducted by the Mizoram State Council for Technical Education (MSCTE).
Candidates selected in the written examination have to attend a personal interview for final selection into the Diploma courses.
Seats will be allotted based on the performance of the candidate.
Finally, selected candidates can submit documents for verification and pay the fees.
