ML and JNK Girls College, established in 1966, serves as a beacon for the higher education of women in Uttar Pradesh. Located centrally in Saharanpur, the brainchild of over five decades of nurtured young minds, the institution enrolls a total of 2,165 students in its folds and has a faculty strength of 26. It offers 18 courses in 4 degree programmes. It is clear from the holistic curriculum that undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies are carried out in several disciplines. 

The college has many facilities on board to enrich the learning process as well as the all-round development of the students. The epicentre of academic resources is the well-placed library that contains some 50,000 text and reference books, 30 magazines, 15 research journals, and more than 100 encyclopedias. It also includes a large, airy reading hall and an exclusive research section for concentrated study. Modern facilities of OPAC and NLIST for every user add to the already rich learning culture already in vogue within the school. For those who pay heed to healthy bodies along with healthy minds, there is a fully-equipped gymnasium on the campus where one can hone skills alongside academic acumen.  The college sports facilities comprise a variety of games including Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Chess, and Judo. Annual sports events are organized and the students are also motivated and encouraged to participate in inter-collegiate and inter-university sports meets. The college has taken much pride in its cultural activities; the 'Bajoria Sabhagar' auditorium forms a needed epicenter for the conduct of cultural and co-curricular events. This place with a seating capacity of 1000 holds annual prize distribution functions, dance and drama competitions, lectures, and seminars where students can actually prove and express themselves beyond academics.

Within the fold of ML and JNK Girls College, students are offered an extensive gamut of education in various streams as per student demand. Currently, the institution offers 18 courses in all forms: full-time undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral programs. These include traditional Arts subjects such as Hindi, English, and Sanskrit besides social sciences which comprise Sociology, Political Science, and Economics. Besides these, the college also offers specialisation in Home Science and Drawing and Painting, which develop theoretical and practical capabilities in students. As 2,165 students are on roll, the college ensures a balance ratio between students and faculty members, which further offers an atmosphere conducive to individual student attention and guidance.
