Modern College of Management and Information Technology, Korba: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Managed by the Modern Society, Modern College of Management and Information Technology was established in the state of Chhattisgarh, at Korba in the year 2006. This affiliated college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in management and information technology. MCMIT has a 0.23-acre campus with a total student erolment of 149 and a faculty strength of 14.

Modern College of Management and Information Technology, thus, with its commitment to quality education, offers courses that are diversified in nature but at the same time focus more on practice. A host of facilities are made available to the institution for enriching the learning process of students. The library, which is the hub of the institution, is fully air-conditioned and accommodates 100 users at a time. It is fully equipped with comprehensive technical and general books, journals, magizines, and digital resources. The IT infrastructure at MCMIT is also worthy of appreciation, as there is a well-equipped, fully air-conditioned computer laboratory consisting of the latest microprocessor-based computers, printers, and scanners.

MCMIT offers 11 full-time courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Some of the courses the college offers to students include Bachelor of Computer Applications, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce in Computer Applications, and PGD in Computer Applications. The other two courses the college offers are a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Diploma in Computer Application. 

The admission procedure in MCMIT is based mainly on merit, with primary concerns to academic performance in the qualifying examinations. The undergraduate programmes in Computer Applications, like BCA, BBA, and B.Com, have admission directly from the merit list prepared from the results of 12th standard candidates. Since the PGDCA course is a postgraduate one, selection may consider the candidate's performance at the undergraduate level.
