Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kurukshetra, is a self-financing institution founded in 2008. It lies on a campus of 14.5 acres in the precincts of Kurukshetra, Haryana. All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, has accredited the MIET that assures highest quality instructions in the disciplines of engineering and management. There is a total enrolment of 1,043 students accepted by the college with a wide range of 11 courses under four degree programmes. The faculty of 16 full-time professionals committed to teaching will make sure that MIET has an appropriate ratio of students-to-teachers and provides a good learning environment.

Modern facilities at MIET abound and are intended to improve the quality of education as a whole. Institute provides separate dormitory facility for boys and girls 2-seater as well as 3-seater rooms with attached bathroom. At MIET, the process for admission is merit-based and different from most colleges. B.Tech programmes are taken through scores that are obtained by the students on successful attempts at state-level or even national-level entrance exams. For MBA programmes, the following management entrance examinations conducted by reputed management examination bodies are taken into consideration: MAT (Management Aptitude Test), CMAT (Common Management Admission Test), and CAT  (Common Admission Test).
