Modern Mahila B.Ed. College at Alwar was started in the year 2008 and is women’s college imparting education in the Alwar city in Rajasthan. This affiliated college is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to show its concern in providing quality teachers. Fated on 0.81544 acres of land, this Institute is dedicated to offering Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programmes alone. A total number of 191 students and 16 faculty makes the student teacher ratio commendable ensuring that any female wishing to be a teacher receives her best coaching.

The college has a vast in place with facilities meant to fulfill the college’s educational mandate. The library is an important resource centre for student and assists them in all the ways needed in their learning process. Efficient IT system is in place at the college so students are productive with modern tools ready to meet the technological aspect of education. There are sports and games facilities for students with intention of encouraging them to exercise and for such other purposes. It also retains departmental Laboratories, demand for which is paramount especially in training teachers as this College deeply involves practical experience. there is a guest room/waiting room for faculties/ students’ visitors, although a cafeteria is provided to ensure that the daily needs of staff and students are met.

Modern Mahila B.Ed. College currently provides only one full time course that is Bachelor of Education (B Ed). This is a two year course and the institute has the approval to admit 100 students in this course, which has been divided into two batches of fifty students each. The B.Ed course is a professional course which aims to produce teacher innovatively through focusing on the content knowledge, teaching learning process and Management of a school. As the emphasis at this college is on this distinct course, the experience guiding teacher education is specialised and detailed.

Modern Mahila B.Ed. College admission process is depends on Pre Teacher Education Training Test conducted by Government Dungar College, Bikaner, Rajasthan. It is mandatory for the prospective students to pass this entrance examination in order to qualify itself for the admission. After the PTET exam is completed, candidates who clear the exam are then admitted to the college through a counselling session organised by the Raj Rishi Bhartrihari Masya University Alwar to which the college is affiliated to. This standardised admission process makes sure that the most qualified and motivated learners get the chance to enrol on the B.Ed programme.

The college also recognises the scores of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test otherwise known as the UPTET which expands the chances of teachers from neighbouring states. Unfortunately, no specific scholarships are given but the college seems to support education for women and therefore would support students from such diverse backgrounds. Set up in Alwar, near Ram Mandir, college has a central location that gives both an easy reach and the wonderful opportunity for students to directly experience the cultural setting of the city.
