Mohamed Sathak A.J. College of Nursing, Chennai, an affiliated college, came into existence in 2000 in Siruseri, Chennai. The institute is recognized affiliated the INC which oversees the delivery of quality education in nursing. Occupying a 7-acre land the college has expansion plan offering six courses under two degrees, with specialization on different facets of nursing. The total number of students intake has been estimated 185 including faculty 28 promote effective learning environment. Apparently, the college is firmly dedicated to nursing learning as it offers a wide range of courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The institute has several facilities that facilitate different aspects of the learning process of its students. What characterized the campus included well-equipped laboratories with modern simulation models to offer feeling of palpation and delivery practices before the clinical attachment. Through a pool of 20 computers used in a computer laboratory, learners are always in touch with modern developments in health care. College library is very essential in carrying out college learning since it offers the necessary resources for college learning. C, Accommodation for student: Hostel facilities for both boys and girls are also availed for student comfort in a secured and well furnished accommodation. It also has an assembly hall for organising events, seminars and other programmes, a cafeteria for providing snacks and beverages, and sports for recreation and stress–free living. Internet connection in the campus enhances access to online resources through Wireless Fidelity connections.

The college currently provides 6 full time courses for students, both Bachelors and Masters. The Bachelor of Science of Nursing program is the flagship course of the institute and the masters’ degree programme focuses on areas such as community health nursing, medical surgical nursing, obstetrics and gynecological nursing, pediatric nursing and psychiatric nursing. The total approved intake for all courses is 65 Our seats include 50seats for B.Sc Nursing and 3seats for each M.Sc specialisation offered.

With growth of the healthcare industry, more focus is placed on the practice and advanced nursing knowledge and skills when training nurses to face the future of the health care industry at the college.
