Mother Gnanamma Women’s College of Arts and Science, Ariyalur Tamil Nadu, is a women’s college which was founded in the year 2007. This affiliated college aims to improve the education of females in different courses offered in this University. The college is located at a campus of 30 acres and providing 13 courses in eight degree programs to meet student’s academic preferences. The total student enrolment of the institute is 930 and the total number of faculty members is 21 so the great care and necessary guidance can be provided. 

The college thus has numerous amenities intended to improve learning environment and development of the students it has. As an academic library, it boasts of more than 6,000 book titles, and national and international periodicals and journals. It can register with 100 students at a time and all the necessary amenities are permits to support learning and research activities. There are well equipped laboratories for practical training, the college has a full proof Information Technology Management System. For multidimensional development, there are sports facilities, and for cultural and academic shows, there are an auditoriums. The campus has a cafeteria where students can take their refreshments at fair charges, and a health centre equipped with first aid services. It is, nevertheless, worth mentioning that the college offers hostel facilities for students studying from other stations and a fleet of buses running on six different routes for day scholars.

As a far as academic programs are concerned, Mother Gnanamma Women’s College extends a wide range of courses. At present the institute provides 13 full time programmes that comprise undergraduate as well as post graduate courses. These include Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, English literature and Tamil literature. The college offers common courses namely B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science Mathematics and Physics, Post Graduate courses namely M.Com, M.Sc Computer Science Mathematics Physics and Master of Arts in English Literature.
