Mother Gnanamma Women’s College of Arts and Science, Ariyalur Tamil Nadu, is a women’s college which was founded in the year 2007. This affiliated college aims to improve the education of females in different courses offered in this University. The college is located at a campus of 30 acres and providing 13 courses in eight degree programs to meet student’s academic preferences. The total student intake of the institute is 930 and the total number of faculty members is 21 so the great care and necessary guidance can be provided. It should be noted that the college aims at the education of girls only to enhance women’s rights in the society.

The college thus has numerous amenities intended to improve learning environment and development of the students it has. The campus has a cafeteria where students can take their refreshments at fair charges, and a health centre equipped with first aid services. It is, nevertheless, worth mentioning that the college offers hostel facilities for students studying from other stations and a fleet of buses running on six different routes for day scholars.

As a far as academic programs are concerned, Mother Gnanamma Women’s College extends a wide range of courses. At present the institute provides 13 full time programmes that comprise undergraduate as well as post graduate courses. These include Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, English literature and Tamil literature. The college offers common courses namely B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science Mathematics and Physics, Post Graduate courses namely M.Com, M.Sc Computer Science Mathematics Physics and Master of Arts in English Literature.
