Mother India College of Education,Patiala, which started in 2015 is one of the leading teacher education institutions in the state of Punjab in India. This affiliated college is located at Nial Bypass, Patran and this college is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in teaching field. The institute, located in a small area of 1 acres of land, provides the required ambience for budding teachers. Now the College has 188 students and 13 faculty members, which enables the college to provide students with individual attention and effective instruction.

The college has many facilities for the improvement of educational process of students in this area. A well stocked library should be an essential part of the students’ learning tool, providing adequate learning materials in form of books and electronic resources for academic examinations. The campus was designed with reliable modern class units to enhance the learning process. For the students and staff’s physical fitness there is a small gym in the campus. The college also consists of department specific laboratories with equipment necessary for practical knowledge and demonstration. 

As for the present, this college is running only one full time course and that is the Bachelors of Education (B. Ed) course. This is a two-year course for which the institute has an approved capacity of one hundred students to enhance quality teacher training capacity. This course will help students gain the adequate knowledge, understanding, and capacity in order to make a proper teaching career.
