About Mother Teresa Institute of Science and Technology, Khammam
Mother Teresa Institute of Science and Technology (MTIST), set up in the year 2001 by the Khammam region of Telangana is one of the renowned education centres. Located in 23.45 Acres of campus area, MTIST is member of The International Institute of Education and is imparting 18 different courses to its 1,521 registered students. It is essential to know that the instituter has been accredited by the National Assessment and accrediting council and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. MTIST has a large faculty strength of 161 members and has a pleasant student faculty ratio. Backed by 20 courses getting spread across 4 degree programs, the institute provides specializations in engineering, technology, and management.
MTIST is committed to both creating a comprehensive learning environment and to ensuring that it has cutting edge equipment. It comprises advanced laboratories; a two-storied central library with an area of 1670 sq mtr; and fully air-conditioned seminar halls. Receiving access to high speed Wi-Fi connection within the campus areas, students are able to improve their digital learning experience. The institute aims at bringing out the total champion in the student in all aspects of life, it has sports facilities and a gym for the convenience of the student. MTIST has separate hostels for boys and girls to live comfortably; meals consisting of healthy diets, provided in large dining halls. The infirmary inside the MTIST compound is present to attend to the health needs because it is run by a qualified doctor.
MTIST has many and varied subjects, in total there are 20 distinct courses available at the university. These include full time undergraduate and postgraduate and diploma courses. Polaris offered by the School of Technology focuses on its flagship B.Tech programs, namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mining Engineering. For postgraduate studies MTIST offers Masters of Technology in specialization areas like Structural Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Power Electronics and Electrical Drives, Computer Science and Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Systems. This institute also offer MBA, for student intending to become professional in the management field. Further, MTIST has other diplomas including Engineering Diploma of Technology in Cloud Computing and Big Data an area not commonly taught in other schools.
Inclusive and merit based policies are followed in the admission process carried out in MTIST. For engineering programs the institute accepts TS EAMCET stand for Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test. The candidate should have the Telangana ICET certificates for the candidate to apply for MBA as an aspiring course. For diploma courses its admission process depend on the Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET). For the admission of postgraduate engineering the institute also acknowledges the TS PGECET (Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test).
