Mother Theresa College of Education, Sathupally started in the year 2002, affiliated to K.U and situated at Kothuru Village, Sathupally, Khammam District, Telangana. This institution is recognized by he National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offers teacher education programmes. Located on 5 acres of land, the college at present has a strength of 99 students and 9 faculties. Mother Theresa College of Education offers two full-time courses: B.Ed and D.El.Ed and the total intake Sanctioned capacity is 150 students in both courses.

The college has several resources intended to help students in the process of their learning and acquiring new knowledge. The core of these facilities is a magnificent Library and Reading Room which comprise a formidable stock of text books and reference books of prescribed subjects, topical books, Journals, newspapers, Magazines, and allied materials. Realizing the changing place of technology in education the college has provided a fully equipped computer laboratory with internet connection. This resource is useful to the learners to be able to acquire appropriate skills in knowledge area pertinent to the contemporary teaching methodologies. The institution also has accommodated prayer fellowship room, spacious science laboratory equipped with scientific equipment for students to have an explode knowledge in sciences such as physics and chemistry.

This college of education is affiliated to Mother Theresa University and offers two main courses in teacher education. B.ED – Bachelor of Education is a two years full time course with an approved intake capacity of one hundred students. The second-year full-time programme, Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) can enroll 50 number of students. Each of the programs is intended to serve as an introduction to the requirements of the contemporary education setting for prospective educators. These specialized programs make sense in the context of the college’s effort to prepare well trained teachers to enhance the teaching profession.

The admission policy of Mother Theresa College of Education recognises merit in conformity with the provisions of the state government, UT Administration and the affiliated University. In the B.Ed programme case, students are only given a chance depending on their performance in the qualifying test/or an entrance examination. In the same way, merit is accorded to the qualifying examination or other selection processes following to the government policy and regulation in the case of D.El.Ed programme.
