Mount Tiyi Government College, Wokha is one of the oldest college situated at Nagaland, India and was set up in 1974. This is a co-educational college approved by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and it offers a number of undergraduate courses in arts. The college has a capacity of 370 students and 24 faculty members which create a sound ambience for budding scholars. Mount Tiyi Government College has seven undergraduate courses, six of which are honours programmes, available in field of humanities stream.

This college has programmes of study, BA (Bachelor of Arts) and six honour programmes in the areas of English, History, Political Science, Education, Economics and Sociology. These courses are intended to give students broad and intensive understanding and abilities in their fields of specialisation. The total student intake across all courses is 370; this shows that the college works hard to ensure that it admits only a manageable number of students so as to retain a good students to faculty ratio in an effort to give each student adequate attention in terms of his or her progress throughout the college academic year.
