MP College of Education, Madhepura, has remained one of the foremost teacher training colleges in Bihar, India. The college provides two specialized programs in the field of education: B.Ed and D. El. Ed. The admission process at MP College of Education ensures the selection of deserving candidates in these specialized programs, thus assuring these future educators of quality training. The admission procedures for the two programs differ. The B.Ed program is based upon a Common Entrance Test (CET). This test selects candidates having required aptitude and knowledge in teacher education. Candidates must qualify for the entrance test in order to get admitted to the B.Ed program.
The admission process for D.El.Ed is really direct. Interested candidates may go to the Administrative Office of the College and collect the admission form. Thereafter, applications are scrutinized, and tests or interviews may be held before the final selection. To be eligible for either program, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification there, conferred upon them from a university recognized by the State; candidate ought to follow any additional norms set by the regulatory organization NCTE for teacher education in India.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed program at MP College of Education, Madhepura is an intake capacity of 100 seats. Admission to this program is on the basis of a Common Entrance Test (CET). The candidates need to clear this entrance examination to become eligible for admission. The CET primarily examines the candidates' general education knowledge, teaching aptitude, and subject-specific understanding. Clear CET qualified candidates may have to take part in counseling sessions for seat allotment. The total fees for the B.Ed program is Rs. 150,000.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): Like the B.Ed program, the D.El.Ed program has an intake of 100 seats. In contrast to the B.Ed. programs, D.El.Ed. candidates do not have to clear an entrance test. Interested candidates may obtain the admission form directly from the Administrative Office of MP College of Education. The selection process may involve scrutiny of the candidate's academic performance, upwards of that there will also be a test and/or interview. The date for such selection procedures will be communicated to eligible candidates through the college website or any other appropriate means. The total fees for the D.El.Ed program is Rs. 120,000.
Both programs are conducted as regular and full-time courses, extending over a span of two years; besides theoretical knowledge, they impart practical knowledge through teaching experiences to enable the students to enkindle themselves to the calling of an educator.
