MRM College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

MRM College of Pharmacy at Hyderabad was set up in 2008 as a private institution recognised by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. This is a co-educational institution situated in Chintapallyguda, Ibrahimpatnam and it has the following pharmacy courses at the undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral levels. Established at a campus streching over 1.882 acres, MRM College of Pharmacy has a strength of 474 students and 48 faculty members. PCI approval of the college is proof of the quality education provided in the field of Pharmaceutical sciences.

MRM College of Pharmacy offers social facilities that help to facilitate learning and or make learning easier for the students. A medical centre with out patients department is present in the campus possessing its own basic facilities and the college is also associated with a hospital just in case of any emergencies. The college library is a storehouse of knowledge, more than 40 801 book volumes with about 5 500 titles concern engineering and management. It also gets 150 national journals and 99 International Journals for the students to access information from. Playing fields and courts are provided to students to enable them balance work and play. The college has LAN, WAN and it is a member of DELNET, for its information technology needs. Students as well as staffs have a cafeteria to feed them and transport services for the transports needed.

Consequently, MRM College of Pharmacy is currently offering a total of five courses under three programmes of study. These include one undergraduate programme- B.Pharma, three post graduate programmes: M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics, M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance and M.Pharmacology and one doctoral programme: Pharm.. All courses are on a full time basis and May take as little as two years in the case of the M.Pharma programmes or as long as six years on the Pharm.D programme. The total sanctioned strength approved for all the courses collectively is 135 while the course B.Pharma has maximum intake of 60 seats.

MRM College of Pharmacy has the major admission requirement of entrance examinations. For B.Pharma, the course that one should audition for is the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). Applicants to the postgraduate programmes must write the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). It conducts TS EAMCET counselling, and it counsels the candidates for B.Pharma admission at first phase counselling on 27th June 2024. The institute has a separate Training and Placement Cell to help in getting placements of the students Scoot. Campus interviews are conducted frequently; students are absorbed in industries’ production, QA & QC, IPR, and sales departments of pharma industries. Another important contact that the college has is the alumni; to keep them informed of the college events are held, annual meets for the students and the fresh graduates.
