MSNM Besant Institute of PG Management Studies is an affiliated college thatwas established in 1999 in Mangalore, Karnataka. Being an NAAC accredited institute, the institute offers postgraduate management education approved by AICTE. MSNM Besant is spread over a tiny campus area of 3.62 acres and has an overall admission capacity of 204 students and a faculty of 12 members. At present, the institute is providing only one course of MBA with total intake of 120 students so exclusively devotes its energy on delivering the best quality of management education. Situated in Bangalore, MSNM Besant has therefore developed an industry relevant curriculum,which is targeted at making sure that students gain practical exposure and knowledge that will allow them to become relevant players in an ever-changing business environment.

The institute is equipped in phases with necessary facilities to improve the student’s academic and other needs. The library is equipped with more than 8,024 books and 30 national and international magazines and newspapers and two online databases make the resource centre form an important information bank for the students and the faculties. The campus provides individual and neat hostels for boys and girls respectively, fully administered by a resident warden. For food, like all colleges, the campus has a facility for a canteen where students can get a combination of vegetarian and non vegetarian meals that suit the students’ preference. To nurture the physical well being and recreational needs of the students and faculty, MSNM Besant has outfitted itself with volleyball and basketball courts, tennis court, and carrom, chess boards. It possesses spacious computer laboratory installed with most current Dell computers and has a WI-FI enabled campus to encourage students to incorporate technology in their learning.

The MSNM Besant Institute of PG Management Studies itself launches only one full time MBA course with an overall number of 120 had intakes. The two-year programme aims at offering the students a broad management education, to fit them for higher responsibilities in business organisations. It is an annual occurrence to review, update the programme to correspond to the current job market and to trend within the global business environments. 

The admission for the MSNM Besant Institute of PG Management Studies takes place on merit basis under education quanta quota. For management quota admissions, candidates need to write national level examination like CAT, MAT or CMAT for getting admission in B-schools. Also, the institute considers the results from any one of the state level KMAT, namely, Karnataka Management Aptitude Test. For the government quota aspirants have to pass in PGCET which is post graduate common entrance test conducted and administered by the Karnataka Examination Authority or KEA. MSNM Besant has a functional Alumni Cell that aids the institution in the contact it facilitates between the college and graduates who have secured jobs in some of the biggest companies in the world and thus assists current students with the necessary information about the job market as well as contacts.
