Mudalgi Education Society Arts and Commerce College was founded in 1984 to serve as the much-needed essential educational college in Mudalgi, Karnataka. This affiliated college located in a spacious complex area of 43.14 sections of land has been educating young students for nearly forty years. The college  has an enrolment of 738 students and staffs a faculty of 17 teachers. Faculty wise the college is proud to have NAAC accreditation, it means that the college is offering quality education. As an Arts and commerce oriented college, the institution provides two programmes for undergraduate level so that the students have a clear track in their respective fields of interest.

Mudalgi Education Society Arts and Commerce College is equipped with a variety of amenities intended to improve the quality of the college experience. The core of academic sources is library with individual reading section for girls and boys and staff members needed to create inspiring environment for study. With regard to accommodation, the college offers accommodation especially for young women studying in college away from home through offering a girls’ hostel for accommodation. An ICT laboratory, Public Health laboratory, an all weather gymnasium, a multi-purpose hall/auditorium, and a fully equipped cafeteria are additional facilities in the campus. Health care and fitness are important with a health facility on site and a gymnasium among the facilities provided. Any individuals into sports, the college has both the indoor and the outdoor games facilities for the within physical and team exercise.

Mudalgi Education Society's Arts and Commerce College offers two full-time undergraduate programmes. The first degrees include, but are not limited to, those offered in the disciplines of Arts, and Commerce, Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). Both the programmes take three years to complete and afford a student good knowledge base and practice in a chosen subject. The college has a total student intake capacity of 738, which makes it possible for the college to employ a human resource that will allow the college to offer quality education while able to uphold an ideal student teacher ratio.
