About Municipal College Rourkela, Rourkela
Municipal College Rourkela was established in1978, located in Udit Nagar, Rourkela, Odisha and is an affiliated college. This institution is located in a 5 acre land and is recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college currently as a total of 2216 students and 22 members of faculty and caters mainly to business and commerce requirements.
Municipal College Rourkela maintains several facilities that help in the improvement of Student experience and Prodigy College Programme endeavours. These features are surrounded by a fully automated library with a stock of more than 16000 and 20 journal titles available to the students for learning purposes. It likewise has a focus on physical and sports, especially in the discipline of hockey to develop students from the Sundergarh district. In an effort to comply with technologies, the college has good IT standards that these include a very good computer room. Students need also a canteen, an auditorium for events and seminars and an open air auditorium for cultural events.
Municipal College Rourkela has three courses on offer which are all full time courses. These are two undergraduate programmes, BBA Self Finance, B.Com and one postgraduate programme, M.Com Self Finance.

College Infrastructure
the infrastructure of the college was average. the classroom consists of white and black boards with no smart boards provided, it has laboratories for the science department, it has a central library, a small cafeteria there was also a parking place for the students and faculties which was a plus point, it has three different building one is for commerce department one is for management course and one the main building for other departments.
My experience in the college is overall good.

The infrastructure is good facilities are up to mark and properly labs are equipped with lab equipment's. The classes are big and have proper maintenance. Proper care is taken towards the hygiene of the students and the campus. They also conduct various drives to motivate others for maintenance.
Overall I had a good experience with the college.

Yes college was well equipped and everything was available but not for commerce student as we didn't have the computer lab which was a problem for us to learn excel and tally because of which we had to take tuition for learning

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours in Political Science is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by the Sambalpur University, Sambalpur. The total seats for BA course is 96. Out of which 16 seats are given to BA Political Science{Hons}. A person, who have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate +2 any other examination , shall be eligible for the course.
