Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital, located in Berhampore, Murshidabad, West Bengal, is one of the top medical institutions in the state. It was established in 2012. The co-educational, affiliated college is running under the approval of the National Medical Commission and the Indian Nursing Council. Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital offers a wide range of courses related to the medical field for different levels of medical education.The institution provides 18 courses with full-time courses in MBBS, MD, MS, and diploma courses in various branches of medical science. The flagship course of MBBS has an approved intake capacity of 125 seats, while the other courses like GNM are available for 60 seats. Specialized postgraduate programs that the college offers are MD in Radio Diagnosis, Community Medicine, and MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, all with 4 seats, while MS in General Surgery is available with 5 seats. It also offers diploma courses in Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiography, Critical Care Technology, and Operation Theatre Technology with variable intake capacities.

The admission to Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital is mostly based on national-level entrance examinations.For MBBS, admission occurs through the window opened by the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, NEET UG. The aspiring candidates have to qualify in NEET UG and participate in the ensuing counseling process. For postgraduate programs, entry into MD and MS is done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate scores.
