Muthayammal College of Arts and Science is an autonomous college located in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, India, and was set up in the year 1994. The college occupies a 10.15 acres and provides a wide spectrum of 44 courses in 10 diverse degrees. It is a large institute with the total number of students registered as 4,864 and with 296 members of the teaching faculty the institute boasts of a reasonable student-teacher ration. At postgraduate level, the programmes offered are M.Sc in many sciences, M.Com and MA in English. The college also provides research opportunities also for M.Phil and Ph.D courses in fields of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Commerce and Chemistry etc. The student admission is 4,864 for all courses the university offers, where 88% of students are admitted to undergraduate courses while 12% admitted to post graduate programmes.
