Muthoot College of Nursing, Pathanamthitta, which commenced in 2007 is an advanced college in the field of nursing in Kerala, India. Located on a plot of 3.5 acres, this affiliated college has been preparing the course of healthcare specialists for over a decade. Accredited to the Indian Nursing Council, the institution renders various course in nursing such as the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Muthoot College of Nursing was established in the year 2007 with a student intake of 220 and 22 faculties which directly give them a focused learning atmosphere. The college provides 5 courses at two levels of degree in aspects of nursing care and medical sciences.

A standard library acts as a reservoir of information; the institute has a library with a large stock of books and journals from the national and international publication houses. For the female students, the college offers a girls’ hostel which is an extension of the college compound and thus affords safety and comfort.

Muthoot College of Nursing has developed a range of nursing courses to suit the different educational requirements as well as ambitions of the society. Although the college offers 5 full-time courses, it offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degree level programmes at the same. The college offers 4 year B.Sc Nursing with 60 student intake and 2 years Post Basic B.Sc nursing with 30 students intake at the undergraduate level. For those interested specialisations, the college offers three Master of Science in Nursing programmes that takes 2 years to complete each with 4 seats to each programme. These are M.Sc Psychiatric Nursing, M.Sc Medical Surgical Nursing, and M.Sc Paediatric Nursing. The college has an enrolment of 220 students across all its offered courses to assure the quality education through the college’s standard student teacher ratio.

The Muthoot College of Nursing also targets the merit based admission policies to make sure that the deserving candidates are placed on the various programmes offer at the college. In case of B.Sc Nursing programme, students are selected from a merit list prepared from the marks in optional subjects as per the rules and regulation of Kerala Nursing and Midwives council and Government of Kerala. This approach provides a proper and competitive admission system. The candidates seeking admission into the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing also follow merit basis.
