NITM emerged out in the year 2003 to expand the horizon of education in the region and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Technical University Bhopal; the institute has been imparting its education from Gwalior city of Madhya Pradesh. Affiliated to the reputed Nagaji Group of Institutions, NITM has been developing next generation engineers and efficient management professionals since its inception two decades back. Located at present on a spacious piece of thirty-seven acres, the institute teaches students fourteen different courses spread over four degrees and admitting a total of two hundred and eighty-three students. NITM is staffed with a faculty of 103 highly committed members, which provide the college with a low student faculty ratio and enough faculty to guide students adequately.

The institute possesses a lot of facilities which aim at improving the learning process and environment. The NITM ‘s infrastructure comprises a good library that contains numerous books, periodical, and journals that will be very useful for the students . The campus has equipped with all stations that needed for practical learning that is essential part in technical education. For the convenience of those students who seek to reside on the campus, NITM has arranged several hostels for boys and girls, well equipped with all modern comforts and facilities, besides security that operates twenty four hours. The campus has also a neat cafeteria, hall for cultural activities, and there is internet access to enable students to access all the necessary resources that will enable them to achieve their academic and personal potential.

Academic programmes of NITM comprise of Engineering, Computer Applications and Management field. The institute offers 6 undergraduate engineering courses (BE), 6 post graduate engineering courses (M.Tech), MBA and MCA. All programmes are full time in keeping with the institutes philosophy of total educational experience. : NITM’s core undergraduate offerings are the BE programmes offered in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. In M.Tech degree, there are various degree courses offered at postgraduate level in separate streams of engineering that include Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Embedded Systems & VLSI Design, Software Engineering and Thermal Engineering etc for those learners, who want to go deeper in their specific courses.
