Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology (NIMIT) was started in 1998 and is one of the most reputed affiliated college in Thrissur, Kerala. NAAC accredited NIMIT is leading institute of higher learning and has made its mark in terms of academic delivery. Institute occupies 7.5 acre area it came to multi-disciplinary institute providing 12 courses in 9 degrees programs specializing in Computing Science, Management & Commerce streams.

The present total population of enrollment of this school is 1,442 making NIMIT a lively academic institution. The student population is equally divided as 74% male students with the remaining 26% being female students. Pursing quality education is evidenced by the institute comprising of 83 members of faculty to improve on the ratio of students and faculty. Academic programs of NIMIT are available for UG and PG courses and as many as 1,382 students are under the UG course category.
