Nalanda College of Pharmacy, Cherlapally came into existence in the year 1995 was located in Nalgonda District of Telangana. PCI approved affiliated college provides numerous pharmaceutical education programmes and courses. The college is located in a 7.07 acres of campus area; total intake capacity is 306 and faculty members are 42. Nalanda College of Pharmacy is offered in 3 degrees consisting of 5 courses with distinct focus on the field of Pharmacy. This is coupled by it’s higher learning status, quality courses offered as well as modern physical structures.
Nalanda College of Pharmacy comprises of various amenities through which students can be helped in their academic and personal development. In this respect, it works as the centre of information being a source of necessary materials for pharmaceutical education. Modern pharmaceutical involves workshops at the state –of-the-art laboratories in various pharmaceutical disciplines. It also guarantees that students are in touch with the current technological developments in Information Technology through the college’s infrastructure. For physical health, there are places players can engage in sporting activities since we have a gym on the compound. This cafeteria is the best place for students to use to rest and also to make new friends. Facilities such as an auditorium provides the services needed to deliver different events and seminars in a school. The presence of first aid facilities are available in our health centre make ensure the health of the students. Further, the visiting faculty members and students’ families are provided with a separate guest house /waiting room facility.
Courses offered in Nalanda College of Pharmacy are affiliated with Monash University and include all the relevant fields of pharmacy. It offers 5 full-time courses of study; undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study. The total approved intake for all the courses is 205 only. It has an annual course of 100 for the B.Pharma programme, 60 for the D.Pharma and 15 in each specialisation of the M.Pharma programme for Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance departments.
Admission requirements at Nalanda College of Pharmacy differ in each course offered by the school. For B.Pharma, the entry is mainly through the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) conducted in April / May every year and the students are admitted from this through counselling 70 % and the management quota through merit in Intermediate 30%. For M.Pharma programmes, 70% of the seats (Category-A) shall be filled through the transfer of admission, through Telangana State P.G Engineering Common Entrance Test/Integrated Common Entrance Test, irrespective of GPAT qualified candidates seeking admission. The remaining 30% (Category-B) are being filled by the college management, however, greatest priority is given to students who have clearance in PGECET. Admissions to D.Pharma are done by the Regional Joint Director, SBTET, Hyderabad through merit in the Intermediate examination. The Admission Procedure of the college is quite balanced and competitive by providing admissions based on TS EAMCET, TS PGECET, GPAT etc.

Application Process
For B.Pharma, application procedures vary:
1. Attend TS EAMCET, normally conducted in April/ May.
2. Those who qualify for TS EAMCET will need to enroll for counseling.
3. Use the counseling process to select Nalanda College of Pharmacy.
4. In case of being awarded a seat, attending the college for document verification and admission will be required.
5. For students applying under the management quota, directly submit applications to the college based on Intermediate marks.
For M.Pharma programs:
1. Take GPAT (conducted nationally) or TS PGECET (for Telangana state).
2. Qualified candidates can apply through the centralized counseling process for Category-A seats (70%).
3. For Category-B seats (30%), candidates apply directly through the college.
4. Attend counseling/interview as and when indicated by the college.
5. If selected, proceed to complete the admission formalities by submitting the necessary documents and payment of fees.
For D.Pharma:
1. Application must be made as indicated by the Regional Joint Director, SBTET, Hyderabad.
2. Selections are based on merit in the Intermediate examination.
3. Short-listed candidates will have to take part in counseling.
4. Selected candidates must then complete admission formalities in College.
Degree-Wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: B.Pharma is a 4-year program, admissions to which are made mainly through TS EAMCET. The college has approved an intake of 100 seats for this program. Candidates must qualify in TS EAMCET and participate in the counseling process. 70% of the seats are filled through the above process, while 30% are under management quota based on intermediate merit.
M.Pharma: Nalanda College of Pharmacy offers M.Pharma in three specializations, namely Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, with 15 seats in each specialization. Admissions are based on GPAT and TS PGECET. 70% of the seats are filled through this process of centralized counseling and 30% are through management quota, with the preference for candidates who qualify in PGECET.
D.Pharma: The diploma in pharmacy course offered by the college has an intake of 60 seats. Admissions are based on merit in the Intermediate examination, under the process supervised by the Regional Joint Director, SBTET, Hyderabad.
