Nalbari Law College was established in 1981 and is an affiliated college in Nalbari, Assam. This law college is located in Adya Bharati Nagar and is committed to building legal brains for four and half decades now. Located in a campus of 2.5 acre, the college is recognised by BCI which maintain the quality standard of education in legal fields. At present, the college has total strength of 278 students and faculty of 8 members which provide concentrated teaching and learning experience for students and faculties aspiring to join the legal field. The college currently provides two law programmes, the LLB and BA LLB programmes, aimed at providing students with multidisciplinary coverage of the field of law according to their academic preferences. 

Nalbari Law College infrastructural facility is equipped and managed to offer all round learning prospects. The Kumud Nath Sarma Library is one of the chief assets of academic collection which includes number of text books, law reports and journals. Professionaly staffed to support the growth of the intellect, the library plays a central and important role at the university. The college also features an auditorium that is used to conduct events and seminars contributing to active academic community. From the perspective of prospective legal practitioners, the moot court facility will be of immense preparatory advantage as student will be able to practice in a mock courtroom. Also, the college has adopted quality physical infrastructure and has well developed software and hardware to provide technological needs that is relevant in todays world to the students. 

The programmes of study at Nalbari Law College are further tailored to prepare its learners to fit the dynamic world of the legal practice. The college offers two full-time courses: there is a 3 year LLB programme and a 5 year integrated BA LLB programme. Both courses have an approved intake capacity of 120 seats and in total, they are able to take 240 students across these programmes. The structured plan allows the student to decide between a specific law programme and a combined one which is law/arts programme. The seriousness that the college has for legal education is reflected in the course offered in the college that prepares students to be sound legal practitioners in the current dynamic legal environment.
