Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in sciences/social sciences/humanity, Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.

Admission Details

Admission to the B.Ed. course will be made strictly on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the Entrance Test to be conducted by H.P.U. Shimla. The minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test will be 35% (i.e. 53 out of 150). In the case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Ex-serviceman candidates, the minimum qualifying marks will be 30 %(45 out of 150).
