Nanappa Polytechnic College is one of the oldest technical institutions situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu which was started in the year 1982. Located on a vast estate of 9.762 hectares, the college has competency in providing Diploma in Engineering fields. Nanjappa Polytechnic College is an affiliated college recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the college has been preparing young generation engineers for more than 40 years. At present, the institute is academically equipped with 239 number of students as total enrolments and faculty with 24 members is in a position to provide student teacher ratio beneficial for proper guidance to every student and superior education system.

Nanappa Polytechnic College has a number of facilities that have been established with an aim of supplementing learning in the college. A fully stocked library is a knowledge centre that has more than three lakh thirty thousand books ranging from syllabus to allied subjects. The library is complete with computerised system and move is equally afoot to put in place e-library services. All departments have laboratories to help allow the students that have mastered the theories of the subjects have the practical sessions to handle. At present, Nanjappa Polytechnic College has five diploma courses on its offers and all of these are full time. Among the ones offered they are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Computer Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Textile Technology Sandwich. The number of seats approved for these courses is 180 per year and maximum number of seats for Mechanical Engineering is 60. This college also has practical courses as its major strength, it has most of its courses taking a three year level of study, with the exception of the Textile Technology Sandwich course which being at the tertiary level, take not less than four years.
