Narsimha Reddy Engineering College, a leading college was started in 2007 located at Maisammaguda, Secunderabad, Telangana. This affiliated college is located in a area of 4.59 acres has received accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The faculties of NREC provide a highly diversified range of undergraduate and post graduate programs. It has 9 fulltime B.Tech programs and 1 fulltime MBA program available for its students to meet the wide range of interests of students. The B.Tech programs are Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The MBA program is a general management program of study. The total of approved intake for all the courses is 1130 and Among all the courses offered Computer Science and Engineering has highest intake of 360 and MBA course has intake capacity of 240.

The admission process at NREC is to a larger extent centralized and revolves around entrance examinations. For B.Tech programs, admission is centralized and taken through the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). 30% of the managerial seats are filled by the college and further 30% is appointed via NRI quota and the rest 70% seats are filled by the college based on the merit list obtained in TS EAMCET. Also, those with diploma can join the ECET under the lateral entry to the second year of their B.Tech courses. For MBA admissions into the college accepts TSICET, merit and management quota with seventy percent and thirty percent seats respectively. This academic year too, NREC provided scholarships to deserving candidates; 341 undergraduates and 87 postgraduates were reimbursed. It has contractual agreements with industries and a vibrant alumni base; this explains why the college is perceived as the Incubation Center for the future professional engineers and managers.
