National College of Arts and Science, affiliated to the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram was started in 1995 is one among the leading arts and science colleges in the cultural capital city of Kerala- Thiruvananthapuram. Located on an 8 acre land this affiliated college works to transform the lives of its aspiring students for just about three decades now. At the end, the college enrolls 1,281 total students and has 64 numbers of faculties; the college offers 19 courses of ten degrees programmes in different fields.

It is the pride of the National College of Arts and Science seeing that it has numerous of facilities that help in shaping the learning of the students. Group of academic resources starts with the library, which is both a formal education resource and a platform for basic and further learning beyond the curriculum. This way, a number of the library staff work together with teaching faculty to teach information skills and also to provide appropriate technologies and resources that students give quick access to. For practical lessons, the college has modern Laboratories especially for Microbiology and Computer labs. These labs include modern instruments, it is done according to the university standard and gives students real subject experience. This campus is also Wi-fi enabled and internet connectivity is also available in all the principle places in addition to internet supported learning and research.

This college provides a myriad of course programmes at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college offers total 11 Undergraduate courses such as B.Com Computer Applications & Tax Procedure and Practice, BBA, BCA, B.Sc Computer Science, Electronics, Biochemistry and so on. In postgraduate level, the college offers 8 programmes comprising MA in English Language and Literature ,M.Sc in Computer Science Electronics & Bioinformatics and M.Com in Finance & Accountancy. All the courses are full time and this very much in line with the intensity and focus of the college. The total approved intake for the undergraduate programmes vary from 24 – 40 in a given course, meanwhile most of the postgraduate programmes are provided with a student intake of 10 student per course to enable the school provide them with quality education.

The admission policy of National College of Arts and Science will be without biased and fully compliant with the standards of the linked university. Despite the differences in requirements for the admission to specific programmes, the college has certain conditions concerning students’ performance in the qualifying examinations as an important factor.
