National College of Education with affiliation to Annamalai University, Cuddalore was established in the year 2005 at Keelakollai Tamilnadu. This is a co-educational college, which has received approval from the National Council for Teacher Education and offers programmes in teacher education. Offering its programmes in a 1.153 acres’ area of land, the college has at the moment 209 total enrolment and 24 faculty members. It provides two courses of study leading to a full-time degree in education, for those who wish to become teachers and for educators.

The National College of Education has developed various amenities intended to support teaching and learning process of the college students. The National College of Education located in Keelakollai prescribes two main courses in the area of education. Each is a full courses of study and offers training for professional teaching and educational administration careers. There are 100 seats in the B.Ed programme and 50 seats in the M.Ed programme. These courses show that the institute is determined to churn out competent educators at both the bachelor and master levels. Total student enrollment across All courses is 209 this shows that, the institution is able to admit limited students per course thus able to attend to each student individually.

The admission process of National College of Education, Keelakollai involves merit seating and adheres to state government policy, UT administration, and the affiliated university policy. The admission to the B.Ed programme on the other hand depends on the marks achieved in the examinations and or entrance test. Other screening also may be used by the college of selection and may be in regard to the policies in place at the time. Likewise for the M. Ed programme the admission criteria are merit list that takes into account the marks acquired from the qualifying examination along with an entrance examination.
