NIELIT Aizawl Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has a state of the art of Boys hostel with a 100-seat capacity for boys available inside the campus.

The College has a state-of-the-art Girls' hostel with a 50-seat capacity for girls that are also available inside the campus.

The College Library has a collection of more than 8,000 volumes of essential books on electronics and computers, communication in English, etc., for the benefit of both the students and the faculty. Along with this collection, 22 numbers of related journals and magazines are subscribed to regularly along with 8 numbers national and local newspapers. The number of the Library collection is likely to increase, depending largely upon requirement and availability. The library is computerized using software developed in-house. The Centre subscribes to the Online IEEE Xplore Digital Library for free access for the students and faculty. 

The College building consists of an Administrative Wing, Laboratories, Electronics Laboratories, Mechanical workshops, and Applied Science Laboratories.

The College has an elaborate computing facility accessible to the students. There are a number of modern state-of-the-art computer labs for use by students and scholars. Apart from a large number of PCs, which are all connected to the campus LAN, there are several Intel Xeon-based servers. There are also high-quality laser printers, network printers, projectors, scanners, multimedia accessories, etc. Various software systems are available that run in environments such as Linux, Windows 2008 and 2012 server, Windows 7 and 10. The campus LAN is connected to the Internet through NKN, NextComm Fibre and Radio link, BSNL bb VPN, and VSAT connection. The network is protected using Sonicwall Firewall and a dedicated Antivirus system.

The College owns two buses and hires additional buses for better convenience for the staff and students. Buses are on regular services throughout the year-round. However, the transportation routines are likely to change depending upon the academic schedule whenever required.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
