The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Srinagar was established to impart education in the different streams of Electronics and Information Technology. This affiliated college is situated in the beautiful city of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, having been established in 1982. Located on a vast and elaborate area of approximately 8 acres, NIELIT Srinagar is imparting technological knowledge for more than 40 years. It is an AICTE approved institute that protects the quality and standards of the offered educational courses and curriculum. NIELIT Srinagar along with other centers of the institute enrolment 185 students with total faculties of 10, thus guaranteeing a quality education to its students. Presently, the institute offers five different courses at different levels of the IT education to meet the dynamism of the IT sector.

Various effective and companies’ like National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology  Srinagar having equipped facilities and fragments to other functions which will add colour to the over all learning process of the students. The institute includes a multitude of well-equipped laboratories that offer practical training concerning the contemporary technologies, as well as necessary preparations for the students in order to succeed in the world of IT. An elaborate library is a knowledge centre which provides the resources in the form of books, journals and electronic sources of information. This campus has a fashionable auditorium from where all our events including seminars, purchase guests and lectures occur, giving the college a lively academic environment. On the social recreational aspect, sports facilities are available, thus children can also get physical exercise apart from getting academic drilling at the institute.

NIELIT Srinagar has wide number of full time courses in information technology stream. The institute's academic portfolio includes five programmes: MCA, M.Sc. I.T., BCA, B.Sc., PGDCA etc.
