The National Institute of Fashion Technology Hyderabad was established in 1999 under the Ministry of Textiles of the Government of India. NIFT is a leader in the fashion industry and takes pride in integrating traditional arts, contemporary thought, academic freedom, design innovation, and creative thinking to improve its curriculum to meet the changing needs of the world. NIFT Hyderabad offers a total of 7 courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the field of Design, Management, and Technology. Courses at NIFT Hyderabad include B.Des programme of 4-year duration and MFM programme Masters in Fashion Management of 2-year duration. Admission to NIFT Hyderabad for B.Des programme is based on the NIFT Entrance Exam. Whereas, for MFM admissions GMAT scores are required.
NIFT Hyderabad offers programmes in Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories, Fashion Communication, Fashion Design, Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech) - Apparel Production, Knitwear Design, Textile Design, Masters of Fashion Management (M.F.M), and a Ph.D programme. NIFT Hyderabad is committed to providing financial assistance to meritorious students from all backgrounds, especially those from economically weaker sections of society.NIFT Hyderabad places student development as a key priority. A considerable sum from the NIFT Hyderabad Development Fund is effectively put to use in this core area every year. To this end, the institute offers a number of scholarships, including:
- “SARTHAK” NIFT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME
This scheme provides financial assistance to undergraduate and postgraduate students To provide financial assistance to meritorious, needy and deserving students, belonging to the economically weaker sections of society who meet the following criteria:
- They must be regular students of NIFT Hyderabad.
- Their parental income must be below a certain limit.
- They must have a good academic record.
The benefits of this Scheme however shall not extend to NRI/ NRI sponsored students.
Under this scheme, undergraduate students can receive financial assistance of up to 100% of their tuition fees, while postgraduate students can receive financial assistance of up to Rs. 1.5 lakhs or 75% of their tuition fees, whichever is lower.

The college comprises of all modern education technology and facilities. There are RFID readers for books issue via ID Cards, also the labs are fully equipped with well maintained imported machinery for all the branches. The there are digital classrooms and online attendence system is there for tracking students. Sports facility is one of the best in Hyderabad campus as compared to remaining 16 campuses of NIFT. Fully wifi equipped campus. Only girls hostel is available in campus. Clean and tidy
The experience in college is good and students get to learn.

College Infrastructure
The college has very good infrastructure. It has also been recognised as one of the colleges with best infrastructure. It has all the facilities - classrooms with smart boards, labs, machinery and tools, workshop area, sports ground, library and canteen. It has a girls hostel within the campus. There is wifi connection in the campus. All the spaces are clean and hygenic.

College Infrastructure
Architecture and infrastructure are both v good. Infact I think NIFT hyd is one the best NIFT campus, Architecture wise. There are many many labs, I honestly don't even know half of them. There's a ground, 2 canteens, gym etc etc

NIFT being NIFT has the highest no.of placement offers rolled out to their students in 2019. As many as 352 companies have offered placements to the students in their Campus.
