Nayagarh Prajamandal Mahila Mahavidyalaya, the under graduate canted college serves as an affiliated college of Utkal University at Nayagarh has been established in the year of 1981. This women’s college founded in 1919 is located in a 5.77-hectare land and has a total of six hundred and sixty three students enrolled in different educational programs. The college currently has 26 passionate faculties and offers 10 courses in three degree programmes. Recognized under the NAAC., the institution aims at delivering quality education in faculties such as the Arts and the Sciences.

The college is proud to provide a variety of opportunities which would improve the college facilities. The Golap Rani Ladies Hostel is home to 150 students meant to live together and encourage them to be neighborly. Lending a hand to the academic needs of the college, the library has a good number of books in its sectional collection – 15,482 to be precise. There are multipurpose courts for students to engage in sporting activities in order to balance between book work and sporting activities. 

The institution also has modern computing facilities with internet connection thus enhancing resource acquisition. There is provision of Wifi in the campus hence any student or staff in the campus is free to connect at any time. The college has well equipped practical lab for practical sessions and has a health center with first aid which assist the students in case of sickness.

This college offers various degrees-regular and honors-degrees in Arts and Sciences. The actual number of students in all courses offered is 763 and thus shows the institution’s desire to uphold a reasonable students to faculty ratio. The overall percentage for the last year graduation data could not be specified but the fact that this college is known for keeping academic performance at par, implies a positive result for the students.

Apart from SC & ST, the college admit students on merit basis for various courses as per the government norms of the Department of Higher Education of Odisha. Selection of students for honors subjects is purely on merit basis depending on the provisions of DHE (O).
