One of the well-known technical institutions in Rupnarayanpur, West Bengal, is Nazrul Centenary Polytechnic, Bardhaman. The institution was established in the year 1997. This affiliated college was approved by AICTE and imparts quality education in the different branches of engineering. This institute spans over an area of 5.33 acres with a total enrolment of 384 students, having 13 dedicated faculty members. 

Nazrul Centenary Polytechnic is well-equipped with a range of modern facilities for the comfortable learning of students.  The provision has been made for required journals and e-books. It consists of a well-maintained and spacious reading room with a seating capacity of 85 students, equipped with multimedia PCs. And the implementation of e-Granthalaya adds to the efficiency of the library. Nazrul Centenary Polytechnic imparts four full-time diploma courses, each spanning three years. These include Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, and Diploma in Modern Office Practice. All programmes have been structured to offer a strong fundamental base in their respective disciplines for successful career building either in industry or for pursuing higher studies.
