About NDRK College of Education, Hassan

NDRK College of Education, Hassan, was set up in 2004, and this is one of the leading teacher training colleges in Hassan, situated in Karnataka. It is a co-educational affiliated college approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in the teaching profession. Located at K.K. Block, B.M. Road, behind D.R. Karigowda Residency, the college has started two professional courses in education. NDRK College of Education is a small institution with a total of 187 students and twenty-two faculty members.

The college has facilities that aim at improving the learning environment of the college for the students. The library with more than 4,000 books on different aspects of education is an information centre for trainees. It has both open access and borrowing systems which make the students develop a good reading culture. The college also uses more than ten educational journals so as to ensure that students update themselves with the current trends. NDRK College of Education also has physiology, physics, chemistry, and psychology laboratories, used in practical learning. These centres offer practical experience very essential for the shapers of the future generations.

NDRK College of Education offers two full-time courses: In SADC there are two teaching qualifications, namely a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a Diploma in Education (D.Ed). The B.Ed programme shall register one hundred students only, and the D.Ed programme shall register fifty students only. Both take two years and cover broad areas of learning that comprise the theory of education and practice. 

NDRK College of Education doesn’t have any reservation policy or management quota, and unlike self-financed colleges, the admission is done on the basis of a merit list following the rules and regulations of the state government and the university affiliated with this institution.
