Guwahati ’s NEF College of Science and Technology is relatively new; it started its journey in 2018. This college is another affiliated college for boys and girls which is located in Saukuchi region of Guwahati and offers multitude of programmes in a number of fields. The College occupies an area of 5 acre providing an ambiance that is conductive to learning and all round development. The institution has 112 students and it is staffed by 41 faculty staff members. There are total 16 courses are offered by NEF College in 11 Degree Programmes in fields of Arts Commerce Management Social Work Computer applications etc covering virtually all category of students interest. The college recognizes the importance of having quality equipments in the delivery of the course to the learners. 

The library being one of the prime resource services of an academic institution, has a storing capacity of over 7500 books and has access to around twenty five journals and newspapers and magazines. To the interest of technology inclined students, Guwahati ’s NEF College of Science and Technology boasts of computer laboratories with with 23 computers of the most appropriate configuration which includes multimedia, internet and networking. The whole campus is connected with Wi-Fi means that the student and member of the faculty and staff can easily connect with the internet anywhere in the campus. Thus to facilitate the transport of student from different parts of the city NEF College offers a transport facility with bus facility for students. For students who are from other stations; the college helps in schooling for private hostel accommodations for both boys and girls close to the college. The institution also acknowledges the fact that people need to befitting and provides the students with sports amenities. 

With a firm focus on education for the individual, rather than simply preparing masses of graduates, NEF College boasts a full and balanced array of 16 programmes. These include undergraduate and post graduate programmes all of which offered as full time programmes. Among the undergraduate are BA in different majors, including Education, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, English and Com with specialisations in Accountancy and Finance & Management, Business Administration, Information Technology and Social Work. In the post graduate level the college offers MBA, MSW, M.Com and MA Sociology. The college is able to enroll 112 students in all its programmes with individual course like MBA and MSW enrolling an approved number of 40 and 60 students respectively. 

Admission at NEF College is mainly based on the following factors most students are given an opportunity to study their preferred courses based on merit. As for majority of the undergraduate programmes offered here such as BA, and B.Com, the selection of major is done according to merit on the admission day. This in turn make it possible for learners to select specializations from areas of their performance or field of specialisation.
