NEF Law College, Guwahati was established in 2006. The College stands as a one-of-a-kind ‘Centre of Law Education’ set up in uniformity with other reputed National and International Law Colleges. The NEF Law College is duly approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi, recognised by the University Grants Commission and the Deptt of Higher Education, Govt. of Assam. 

The NEF Law College, Guwahati runs Five Year Integrated Courses in three streams BALLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons) and BCom LLB (Hons) as well as Three Year LLB and Masters of Law (LLM) courses under Gauhati University. Admission into BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons) and B Com LLB (Hons) are given based on the NEF Law Entrance Test (NLET) whereas admission into LLB is given based on the merit of the last qualifying exam whereas admission into LLM is given based on the entrance exam conducted by the Gauhati University. NEF Law College is a private college and is affiliated with Gauhati University, Guwahati. NEF Law College also facilitates a library, medical, IT Infrastructure, transport facility, cafeteria and more that can be accessed by the students.
